The 5 Best Wisdom Tooth Removal Clinics on the Gold Coast for a Smoother Recovery

  • Clinical expertise: We prioritised experienced dentists and oral surgeons who know their way around tricky extractions.
  • Patient comfort: Wisdom teeth are stressful enough, so clinics with sedation and anxiety-friendly care earned extra points.
  • Accessibility and location: Jaw pain and long drives don’t mix. We favoured convenient Gold Coast clinics with easier booking.
  • Technology and facilities: Good imaging can make a big difference. We looked for clinics using modern diagnostic and surgical equipment.
  • Reviews & reputation: We checked recent patient feedback for consistent praise, solid service, and fewer dental horror stories.

Nothing kills a date at a restaurant with a gorgeous Gold Coast view quite like sudden jaw pain. I spent more time nursing my cheek than admiring the scenery!

That little dental ambush was enough to make me finally deal with the problem. Turns out, finding the best wisdom tooth removal on the Gold Coast doesn’t have to feel like another ordeal.

There are plenty of experienced local clinics that can help make the whole process less daunting. So I’ve rounded up the ones worth checking out before your wisdom tooth ruins another perfectly good meal.

How much does wisdom tooth removal cost in Gold Coast?

Wisdom tooth removal on the Gold Coast can cost about $200 to $1,200+ per tooth. The price mainly depends on whether the extraction is simple or requires surgery.

A simple extraction usually costs around $200–$600 per tooth. A surgical extraction can range from $400–$1,200+ per tooth.

If you need all four wisdom teeth removed, expect to pay roughly $1,500–$4,000+ in total. X-rays, sedation, anaesthesia, and follow-up care may add to the final bill.

1. Oasis Dental Studio Broadbeach

oasis-dental-studio-broadbeach

Website

Address: 21/15 Victoria Avenue, Broadbeach

Contact: 07 5526 8722

Hours: Monday, Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM | Tuesday-Thursday, 8 AM – 6 PM

Wisdom tooth surgery isn’t exactly anyone’s idea of a fun Gold Coast outing, so I like that Oasis Dental Studio puts plenty of focus on patient comfort.

Their Broadbeach team offers sedation options, including nitrous oxide and general anaesthesia when clinically suitable.

They also take a careful approach to planning extractions, with assessments that consider tooth position, alignment, and nearby structures. That makes the process feel a lot less like crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.

Another plus is flexibility around payment, with different payment options available depending on your treatment.

Broadbeach patients may also benefit from preferred-provider arrangements with Bupa, Medibank Private, and CBHS.

The catch is that appointments longer than an hour require a 20% deposit. They’re also closed on weekends, which isn’t ideal when your jaw decides to ruin your Saturday.

Pros

  • Sedation options available for nervous patients
  • Wisdom tooth assessments tailored to each case
  • Preferred provider for Bupa, Medibank Private, and CBHS
  • Various payment options available
  • Convenient Broadbeach location

Cons

  • 20% deposit required for appointments over an hour
  • Closed on weekends

Highly recommend

Dr Will was meant to remove all four of my wisdom teeth but made the call to only remove three, truly putting my best interests first.

He was incredibly attentive, caring, and thorough, and did everything he could to ensure my recovery would be as smooth as possible. I felt genuinely looked after and supported throughout the entire process. I’m so grateful for his care and highly recommend him!

Amazing job

I recently had all four wisdom teeth removed at Oasis Dental. Dr Will and the team were incredible! So friendly, professional and a lot of fun. I’ve healed so well, and I owe this to the amazing job they did. Thank you so much, team! Thank you also for the coffee and birthday card – you are all so sweet.

2. Gold Coast Oral Maxillofacial and Implant Surgery

Website

Address: Suite 301, Pindara Specialist Suites, 29 Carrara St, Benowa

Contact: (07) 55278858

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 AM–4.30 PM | Friday, 8 AM–4 PM

When a wisdom tooth looks more like an excavation project, I’d rather have a specialist handling it. Dr Shannon Webber of Gold Coast Oral Maxillofacial and Implant Surgery is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who treats impacted and more complex wisdom teeth.

The clinic can perform suitable procedures under local anaesthetic, while general anaesthetic cases are handled in hospital.

Nitrous oxide may also be available when appropriate, which is handy if nerves are already doing enough damage.

I also like that they use three-dimensional cone beam computed tomography imaging for detailed treatment planning. It gives the surgeon a clearer look at teeth, nerves, and surrounding structures before getting started.

The catch is that they don’t accept cash, so you’ll need an accepted electronic payment method.

Surgical fees are also payable before the procedure, which is worth budgeting for in advance.

Pros

  • Specialist oral and maxillofacial surgeon
  • Handles impacted and complex wisdom teeth
  • Local, nitrous oxide, and general anaesthetic options when suitable
  • Uses three-dimensional cone beam imaging for treatment planning
  • Convenient Benowa specialist location

Cons

  • Doesn’t accept cash payments
  • Surgical fees must be paid before the procedure
  • Closed on weekends

Fantastic surgeon

Office staff were absolutely fantastic in helping get me in urgently after some seriously impacted wisdom teeth were discovered, causing recurrent infection. The staff were professional and kind at all times.

Dr Webber a fantastic surgeon who is very caring and highly experienced.

The whole process from start to finish was superb and extremely well organised

Cannot thank Dr Shannon Webber enough for his work. The whole process from start to finish was superb and extremely well organised. Dr Webber had a very calming and professional manner, which was a real gift for me as I had a lot of anxiety before my wisdom teeth extraction. I think the level of his expertise is evident in my post-surgery recovery as my pain and swelling have been slim to none. That’s a real credit to how good a surgeon Dr Webber is. I would recommend in a heartbeat!

3. Define Dental

Website

Address: 12 Carrara Street, Benowa

Contact: (07) 5597 2100

Hours: Monday, Wednesday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM | Tuesday, 8 AM – 6.30 PM | Saturday, 8.30 AM – 12.30 PM (by appointment in the afternoon)

Wisdom tooth removal isn’t exactly a relaxing Saturday activity, but Define Dental does a decent job of taking the edge off. Their Benowa clinic puts plenty of emphasis on hygiene, sterilisation, and careful infection control.

They also use digital imaging and modern dental equipment to help plan treatment more accurately.

I like that their in-mouth cameras can also give patients a clearer look at what’s happening before and after treatment.

For nervous patients, the team can tailor anaesthetic and relaxation options depending on what’s clinically suitable. That extra bit of flexibility can make a daunting extraction feel far less intimidating.

The downside is that weekend availability is fairly limited. They open Saturday mornings, while afternoon appointments need to be arranged in advance.

Pros

  • Strong focus on infection control and sterilisation
  • Offers wisdom tooth removal
  • Uses modern digital imaging and dental equipment
  • Anaesthetic and relaxation options available when suitable
  • In-mouth cameras help patients understand their treatment
  • Open Saturday mornings

Cons

  • Saturday afternoon visits are by appointment only

Had such a great experience at Define Dental! The team was incredibly helpful with my wisdom teeth and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. They gave very detailed information, explained everything thoroughly, and did an amazing clean as well. Everyone was professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Excellent job

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had to get my wisdom teeth removed and Lucy (from reception) organised to get this done the same day. Dr Michael Bootes and his assistant were very friendly and helpful. He explained what was going to happen really well and was very patient. I was a bit anxious, but he did an excellent job. Got it out within minutes! Costs were very reasonable too. Would definitely visit again if I have to!

4. MGA Dental

mga-dental

Website

Address: 122 Salerno St, Surfers Paradise

Contact: 07 5539 9748

Hours: Monday-Sunday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Wisdom tooth pain has terrible timing, so I like that MGA Dental is open seven days a week in Surfers Paradise. The family-owned practice also brings more than 20 years of experience to the chair.

Their wisdom tooth consultations can include digital X-rays and a treatment plan tailored to your case. Depending on complexity, options may include local anaesthetic, sedation, or general anaesthesia.

Another plus is that straightforward removals may take around 20 to 45 minutes. They also accept payment options such as Afterpay and Humm, which can make a surprise dental bill less painful.

However, while weekend appointments are handy, there’s a small catch. MGA Dental charges an extra $30 fee for weekend bookings, so Saturday or Sunday convenience comes at a little extra cost.

Pros

  • Open seven days a week
  • Family-owned practice with 20+ years of experience
  • Digital X-rays available for treatment planning
  • Local anaesthetic, sedation, and general anaesthesia options may be available

Painless, great experience

I went in today, and Dr Goran was so lovely! I had 2 wisdom teeth out at the same time, and he was so gentle and so, so quick! Painless and a great experience. The dental nurse was so lovely and calmed my nerves too 🙂 Highly recommend!!

My favourite practice

Daniela is beyond amazing. She and her team are so friendly and welcoming. They made every procedure a positive experience and make you feel so comfortable.

Check-ups, cosmetic dentistry, fixing previous dentists’ faults, and now my wisdom teeth removal today, I can truly say that they are my favourite practice. She’s a wizard 😍

coastal-dental-care-robina-town

Website

Address: Suite 10/140 Robina Town Centre Dr, Robina

Contact: (07) 5575 7388

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7.45 AM – 5.30 PM

When your wisdom tooth starts throwing a tantrum, having a clinic right in Robina is pretty handy. Coastal Dental Care takes a personalised approach, with treatment planned around what’s actually going on in your mouth.

Their dentists use X-rays and modern imaging to assess the tooth and surrounding structures before deciding what comes next.

Local anaesthetic and sedation options may also be available to help make the procedure more comfortable.

I also like that they provide clear aftercare guidance once the tooth is finally gone. That can make the recovery stage feel a lot less like guesswork.

The downside is that this branch is only open Monday to Friday. So if your jaw decides to ruin your weekend, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Pros

  • Personalised wisdom tooth treatment planning
  • Uses X-rays and modern imaging

  • Clear aftercare guidance
  • Convenient Robina location

Would definitely recommend the place

I had three wisdom teeth removed last week, and I could not be happier.

The whole appointment took around one hour, which I think was pretty quick. Dr Tristan was very professional and knowledgeable, explaining all the procedures and also during the surgery.

The whole staff that I have been in contact with was also very helpful.

Would definitely recommend the place.

Felt very much welcomed

Currently a patient of Dr Filip and his dental nurse – had a crown put in and wisdom teeth removed. Felt very much welcomed and liked that communication was clear and transparent before and after procedures. Filip also called and checked up on the day after extractions. Couldn’t feel better cared for and looked after at Coastal Dental Care! 🙂
