When I paid the showroom a visit, I was greeted by a wide variety of French doors. They only offer them in solid timber, so if you’re set on aluminum, this isn’t the place for you.
But if you don’t have a set choice yet, there’s nothing wrong with going for a solid timber door. They’re actually more durable and weather-resistant than other materials.
Apart from the frame material, customers can customize the door design, from glass panels and finishes all the way to the door’s orientation. Meaning you can control how much light flows you want, how it opens, and more.
Even if I just came in for a quick browse, the assistance and service were nothing but incredible. They told me all about the materials and the possible options for every budget.
And on top of that, they even gave us valuable care and maintenance tips.

Back at their showroom, I had a little chat with the staff about their French doors. They told me that these doors are actually made piece by piece using traditional methods, which allows them to make intricate and more detailed work.
As I went around browsing the displays, I noticed that despite only offering solid timber French doors, they actually have a lot of variation when it comes to their components.
For example, a wide selection of glass types is available. The options for specialty designs (conservatory, Victorian, Hopscotch) were especially stunning and almost convincing.
You can purchase from their stock or opt for a custom-made one.
To be honest, I have nothing but praise for the team and the shop. I saw from their showroom that their craftsmanship is top-tier and the staff are a pleasure to talk to.
The only downside is that they don’t offer installation services and can only supply the door and the hardware.

The shop used to have a showroom, but they changed their operations to purely online. I would’ve loved to see the products in person, but they were still lovely to talk to on the phone.
First, they offered a free appointment if I ever wanted a custom-made French door. This means sitting down with a designer and sketching out everything, from size and style to material.
They pretty much gave us all the information that I needed, and even after all that, they didn’t sound pushy about buying from the shop.
I’ve also heard a lot of positive feedback from past customers, saying both the service and products are high-quality. These customers also emphasized that the prices are competitive for such excellent craftsmanship.

Of course, I would never pass up checking out the company with one of the largest stock of solid timber doors in the city. From what I’ve heard, Gold Coast Doorland has its own warehouse where they keep thousands of doors in stock.
Their showroom left me in awe. It was a large space that houses over 100 display doors from their own range to famous Australian brands like Hume.
And in case you prefer a custom design, the team can take care of that as well. In fact, the attending staff told me there’s no small or big job for them, and they even manufacture overseas if it’s necessary to meet the required design and size.
And speaking of overseas, Gold Coast Doorland has also exported products to other countries, like Japan and the U.S.
That’s one of the main reasons I added the company here. It shows their capabilities to handle large projects or any project size at all.
I would say, though, their French doors are pricier than most providers in Gold Coast. But that’s to be expected with the premium materials they use.
