Customer Reviews

The food was outstanding

I’ve been eager to experience this modern Asian cuisine, Madam Fu at Isle of Capri and I’m thrilled to have finally had the chance – the food was outstanding, and it’s clear that the Google reviews doesn’t lie 😆

Ordered the squid, duck spring roll, crying tiger beef and fish yellow cutty

Modern Asian cuisine, that is certainly worth trying

Madam Fu was recommended to us and I can safely say it lived up to our expectations.

The food was amazing, we enjoyed every dish we ordered.

The service was attentive without being overbearing. A little wait between dishes which we didn’t mind as we enjoyed the food when it arrived.

The restaurant is situated inside Via Roma which in our opinion only added to the atmosphere.

Modern Asian cuisine, that is certainly worth trying.

Address: 44 Commerce Drive  ‍

Contact: 0481838433

Hours: Wednesday-Saturday 12:00 – 2:30 PM | Tuesday-Saturday 5:00 – 10:30 PM

Dietary restrictions usually make dining out stressful. The good news is that Eddy + Wolff Asian Restaurant changes the game entirely by running a completely gluten-free kitchen without compromising flavor.

We recently visited with a celiac friend, and we felt totally safe ordering the fresh baby cuttlefish and crunchy eggplant. The prawn toast was unbelievably crispy and disappeared fast, too!

Moving to larger plates, their roast duck hits all the right sweet and sour notes. You definitely need to try their creamy ube semifreddo as well for a unique dessert finish.

The only catch is their strict no-kids policy due to the very small dining space, making it strictly better for adult outings.

Pros

  • 100% gluten-free kitchen environment
  • Highly intimate and cosy atmosphere
  • Creative takes on traditional snacks
  • Quality charcoal BBQ meat options

Cons

  • Can’t accommodate younger guests

Seafood lovers will quickly fall for the sweet and spicy caramelised chilli squid. For mains, the crying tiger sirloin and the rich Penang curry are absolute showstoppers.

Website:https://www.facebook.com/jimmywahsburleigh/

Address: 1724 Gold Coast Hwy.

Contact: (07) 5659 1180

Hours: Sunday-Thursday 12:00 – 2:30 PM, 5:15 PM – Closing | Friday-Saturday 12:00 – 3:00 PM, 5:15 PM – Closing

Jimmy Wah’s is all about fresh, modern Vietnamese food, served up in a lively Burleigh Heads spot that’s perfect for sharing with friends or family.

One customer told us their visit last month was unforgettable, raving about the tempura oysters and tofu carpaccio. They said both are super light and balanced with just the right crunch.

It’s tough not to go for the tempura soft shell crab banh mi, too. Another standout here is the duck larb san choy bow and the sticky, caramelised pork belly.

However, keep in mind that they have a strict no split bill policy, so you’ll need to settle up together.

And although they’re not a private dining restaurant, the energetic main area provides a premium feel.

Pros

  • Award-winning wine list selections
  • Great mix of 60s and 70s music
  • High-quality, fresh seafood components
  • Excellent variety of vegetarian options

Cons

  • Strict policy against splitting bills

Customer Reviews

This is the best Asian restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life

I have to say this is the best Asian restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life and I’m 57 years old. Mia the waitress was so nice she’s from California and my wife has got issues with garlic and she was so accommodating. The food is just outstanding. I don’t even know where to start. Great ambience and definitely our best restaurant that we have been to since being here in Burleigh heads. It is an absolute must. You won’t be disappointed.

Highly recommend

Best meal we had on the Gold Coast. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Asian fusion is an excellent description. We had the crispy spring rolls and caramelised pork belly for starters, which were both delicious. For mains we had the barramundi and shakin beef which were also delicious. Excellent service – friendly and efficient staff. Will definitely eat here again and would highly recommend.

5. Rick Shores

rick-shores

Website:https://www.rickshores.com.au/

Address: 3/43 Goodwin Terrace

Contact: 07 5630 6611

Hours: Monday-Thursday 11:30 AM – Closing | Friday-Sunday 11:00 AM – Closing

Rick Shores brings Pan-Asian flavors right to the water, putting seafood and bold curries front and center.

You can start your meal here with light and refreshing dishes like the kingfish and pineapple sashimi or try their famous Rick’s bug roll, which locals can’t stop talking about. The lobster and prawn jade har gow is another favorite that’s always a hit.

Moving on to mains, we’ve heard that plenty of diners love the Sichuan roasted duck breast red curry, saying it’s packed with flavor. Plus, the warm sticky tamarind pudding is the perfect way to finish things off.

A notable drawback is that larger groups are forced onto a set menu, taking away individual ordering freedom.

Pros

  • Unbeatable waterfront dining location
  • Highly innovative Pan-Asian seafood dishes
  • Excellent curated set menu options
  • Beautiful presentation on every plate

Cons

  • Set menus are mandatory for larger groups

Customer Reviews

Packed with incredible Asian-inspired flavours

Rick Shores absolutely lives up to the hype. The beachfront location is unbeatable, with stunning ocean views that make the whole experience feel special from the moment you arrive. The food was beautifully presented and packed with incredible Asian-inspired flavours, with every dish perfect for sharing. The cocktails were just as impressive, and the service was warm, attentive and professional throughout. A fantastic spot for a long lunch or a special dinner on the Gold Coast. Highly recommended!

Everything had such a flavourful, unique asian twist

This is a must visit! The food is delicious, seriously amazing. Nothing disappointed, blew our expectations away. However, despite lovely staff, the food took a really long time to come out, however it was all made fresh. You have to try the bug rolls, the duck curry and the barramundi. Everything had such a flavourful, unique asian twist. The view was incredible, very expensive so definitely for a special occasion.
