1. Gold Coast Speech Therapy

Address: Queensland Paediatric Allied Health – Ground floor, 120 Queen Street, Southport
Contact: 07 5647 6120
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Gold Coast Speech Therapy covers a genuinely wide range of ground, from receptive language right through to swallowing and feeding support, for both kids and adults.
Founder and principal speech pathologist Hanna Bowler has worked across metropolitan, rural, and remote parts of Australia, which shows up in how grounded and practical the care feels.
Her certifications in feeding approaches like Sequential Oral Sensory and communication methods like the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) back up the specific therapy plans on offer.
When we brought my nephew in for a stuttering assessment, Hannah’s approach put him at ease almost immediately.
We also appreciated that their initial assessment package covers testing, a feedback appointment, and a full written report.
Just keep in mind that they only have one speech pathologist, so booking an appointment is very important.

Good therapy experience
My 8 year old son was having difficluty with his literacy skills at school. His teacher suggested that we see a speech pathologist for assistance.
Since meeting Hanna, my son has become a different person! He is now confident and progressing well. The resources used in the clinic by Hanna were fantastic, and the fact that we could then take those home with us in between sessions to keep practicing really helped my son.
Thanks Hanna!

Hanna was able to offer really effective advice for my child that suffers from a stutter. My husband and I were really pleased with the expertise she offered us and the approachable way she interacted with our daughter, who is often very shy! Will absolutely recommend Hanna for speech therapy services.

2. My Therapy Space

Website:http://www.mytherapyspace.com.au/
Address: Suite 3AB/2 Classic Way, Burleigh Waters
Contact: 07 5559 9888
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
My Therapy Space brings speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and dietitians together under one roof.
From what we’ve gathered, they all work with the same simple goal: helping every child thrive. This kind of joined-up care means fewer gaps between what each professional knows about your child.
As for their speech team, they cover everything from speech clarity to receptive language and everyday communication.
They also specialise in introducing alternative communication tools, like key word signs and speech generating devices, for kids who need another way to express themselves.
It’s also great that families also get access to workshops on communicating with sign language and other practical strategies.
However, their cancellation policy here is strict. Unless you give at least 48 business hours’ notice before your scheduled appointment, a full cancellation fee will apply, so last-minute changes to your schedule can get expensive fast.

Has been incredibly patient, kind and supportive
My son has been attending speech therapy sessions at My Therapy Space for the past 6 years.. My son has very complex issues and many other therapists had put him in the too hard basket. His speech therapist at My Therapy Space has been incredibly patient, kind and supportive and my son has made amazing progress with his communication and other life skills . I could not have asked for a more dedicated speech therapist.

Building strong communication skills to help clients thrive socially and at school is the core focus at Mermaid Speech. Their Chief Mermaid Charlotte Barfoot and her team prioritise two things: excellent speech therapy and pure joy.
They provide highly custom support for reading, writing, speech clarity, and self-expression. You’ll also find an allied health assistant on staff who specialises in supporting neurodivergent folks and adults with aphasia.
Additionally, the clinic embraces a thoughtful approach that adapts to each person’s unique interests.
When a colleague brought her son here for voice therapy, she couldn’t stop raving about the clinic’s fun, lively vibe.
Unfortunately, getting to the clinic can be tricky depending on the time of day. Sitting right next to the Pacific Motorway means traffic changes heavily around their Varsity Lakes office.
