5 Best Prenatal Massages in Gold Coast for Mums-to-Be

  • Therapist expertise & training: We favoured therapists with proper pregnancy massage training, not just a knack for a relaxing rub-down.

  • Comfort & safety: We checked for supportive bolsters, pregnancy-safe positioning, and setups that don’t make getting comfy feel like a puzzle.

  • Treatment quality: We looked for massages that ease common aches while still delivering that blissed-out spa feeling.

  • Pricing & value: We compared rates for fairness and clarity because surprise costs aren’t exactly relaxing.

  • Reputation & feedback: We sifted through reviews for consistent praise around professionalism, comfort, and genuinely caring service.

I’m no stranger to a good day spa, but pregnancy has definitely changed what my body is asking for. Suddenly, I need more than a nice-smelling oil and a fluffy robe.

Backaches, tired legs, and swollen feet have become regular guests, so finding the best prenatal massage on the Gold Coast feels less like a treat and more like smart self-care.

The right therapist can help take the edge off without making things feel too clinical.

I’ve rounded up local spots that know how to pamper mums-to-be properly and safely. Think supportive positioning, targeted relief and a blissful hour where carrying extra weight isn’t entirely your problem.

How much does a prenatal massage cost in Gold Coast?

Prenatal massage on the Gold Coast generally costs between $90 and $190, depending on the session length.

A 30-minute massage costs about $90, while a 60-minute session typically runs from $130 to $140. For a longer 90-minute treatment, expect to pay around $180 to $190.

1. Gold Coast Pregnancy Massage

Website

Address: 5/37 Musgrave Ave, Southport

Contact: 0402 143 955

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM –5 PM | Saturday, 8 AM–1 PM

Pregnancy can turn even basic comfort into a moving target, so I like that Gold Coast Pregnancy Massage keeps things genuinely tailored.

Their therapists adjust positioning, pressure and focus areas around what your body is actually complaining about that day.

You can go for a full-body treatment or zero in on the back, shoulders and other sore spots. Their remedial qualifications and specialised pregnancy massage training also make the whole setup feel thoughtfully pregnancy-specific.

I also like that you can choose between 60- and 90-minute sessions, depending on how much TLC you’re after. It’s a good fit if your usual spa massage suddenly needs a bit more strategy.

The only catch is that new clients need to arrive early to complete a health history form. It’s sensible, but not exactly the glamorous start to a spa appointment.

Pros

  • Qualified remedial massage therapists
  • Specialised pregnancy massage training
  • 60- and 90-minute sessions
  • Full-body or targeted treatments
  • Pregnancy-specific positioning and support

Cons

  • New clients need to arrive early for a health history form

Highly recommend

I highly recommend Katrina and her massage services; she is very knowledgeable, takes the time to understand how she can help and takes great care. I’ve had her massages both while pregnant and postpartum, and they are the best I’ve ever had. Thank you, Katrina, for your lovely massages; I can’t wait to come back in again!

Constant good massage experience

I saw Katrina when I was pregnant for hip and back discomfort. The treatments were very effective, and I have remained a client ever since. I now get regular remedial massages and always respond well to the treatments.

2. Retreat Massage & Wellness

Website

Address: Shop 9.03 Brickworks, 11 Brolga Ave, Southport

Contact: (07) 5527 1147

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.30 AM – 5.30 PM | Saturday, 9 AM – 6 PM | Sunday, 9.30 AM – 5.30 PM (bookings are essential)

I like a prenatal massage that still feels like a proper spa escape, and Retreat Massage & Wellness ticks that box nicely. It blends a polished day-spa atmosphere with pregnancy-friendly massage delivered by qualified remedial therapists.

That makes it a solid pick when your back, hips or shoulders are starting to lodge formal complaints.

The Southport location is handy too, especially if you want something a little more indulgent than a purely clinical setup.

I also like the small touches, including complimentary organic tea after treatment. It’s the sort of detail that helps you ease back into the real world instead of being launched straight out the door.

The only catch is that bookings are essential, so spontaneous spa whims may not get very far. It’s worth locking in a slot ahead of time.

Pros

  • Qualified remedial massage therapists
  • Pregnancy massage available
  • Relaxing day spa atmosphere
  • Convenient Southport location
  • Complimentary organic tea after treatment

Cons

  • No walk-ins (bookings are essential)

Effective pain relief

Yoko was amazing, I had a pregnancy massage with her yesterday, and I was in a lot of pain. She was so caring, comforting and compassionate. Without her, I wouldn’t have gotten through it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Chloe

Very relaxing

I am 36 weeks and had a very relaxing pregnancy massage this morning. The lady who performed the massage was very clear in communicating how to get ready and made sure I was comfortable (including changing out one of the pillows for a smaller one when the other one wasn’t comfortable). I may have fallen asleep for a few minutes towards the end but felt very supported and nurtured. Thank you so much!

3. Gold Coast Massage and Day Spa

Hours: Monday, 10 AM – 7 PM | Tuesday to Sunday, 10 AM – 8 PM

Once lying comfortably starts feeling like a logistical exercise, good cushioning matters more than ever. Gold Coast Massage and Day Spa uses supportive pregnancy cushions designed to take some pressure off the lower back and pelvic area.

Their prenatal treatments can include gentle techniques such as Swedish massage, with therapists trained specifically for pregnancy massage.

I also like that they offer mobile sessions, which is a win when leaving the house feels like a full expedition.

Free parking behind the building is another handy bonus if you’re heading into Southport. It’s a practical option for mums-to-be who want something soothing without giving up convenience.

The main drawback is that the Southport location can be busy around peak periods. If traffic stresses you out, I’d avoid booking right in the afternoon rush.

Pros

  • Prenatal massage-trained therapists
  • Supportive pregnancy cushions
  • Mobile massage available
  • Free parking behind the building

Cons

  • Southport traffic can be heavy at peak times

Amazing therapists

My husband and I visited QLD on a baby moon, and upon searching for massage places, I came across this one. I had 2 pregnancy massages, and both my therapists Liz and Avoha were amazing. Really concentrated on the areas needed to be concentrated on, and both times I visited came away feeling refreshed, relaxed and really cared for. Thanks very much!

Will definitely call in again when we come back to qld!

Highly recommend

Wow! This place is incredible. Megan was my masseuse, and she did such a wonderful job. Truly, she was considerate, made sure I was comfortable and satisfied throughout the massage. She was consistent throughout. Her knowledge and techniques are admirable. I left there feeling the best I have ever felt. I highly recommend 👌 …

4. Gold Coast Lymphatic Massage

Website

Address: Level 1, 278 Ferry Road, Southport

Contact: (07) 5683 0820

Hours: Tuesday, Thursday, 8.30 AM – 4.30 PM

Swollen ankles and a cranky lower back can make late pregnancy feel like your body is staging a protest. Gold Coast Lymphatic Massage focuses on gentle pregnancy treatments that can target swelling, sciatic discomfort and general tension.

I like that practitioner Mel Potts brings more than 25 years of massage experience to the table.

She also offers lymphatic techniques after the first trimester, which makes this a more specialised option than your standard spa rub-down.

The practice has endorsements from medical professionals too, which adds a bit of reassurance when you’re being extra picky about pregnancy care. It’s a good fit if fluid retention is stealing some of that mum-to-be glow.

The downside is scheduling, as there are no weekend appointments. The 278 Ferry Road clinic also only takes bookings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Pros

  • Practitioner with 25+ years’ experience
  • Specialised pregnancy massage
  • Lymphatic techniques available after first trimester
  • Targets swelling and pregnancy discomfort
  • Endorsed by medical professionals

Cons

  • No weekend appointments
  • Only two days weekly at the Ferry Road clinic

Customer Reviews

Each visit has made such a difference

Mel is incredible!

I’ve had a few lymphatic sessions on my legs while 32+ weeks pregnant, and the relief has been amazing. Each visit has made such a difference—I’m genuinely walking on air when I leave the clinic. I can’t wait to come back post-baby for abdominal treatments. Thank you so much, Mel!

Grateful

Dear Mel,

Thank you so much for the incredible lymphatic massage today. I honestly can’t express how amazing I feel afterwards — lighter, relaxed, refreshed, and completely cared for. Your skill, energy, and attention made the whole experience so special.

You have such a beautiful gift, and I’m so grateful for the care and healing you brought to me today. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable and for putting so much heart into what you do.

I truly appreciate you and can’t wait to book with you again!

With gratitude,

Vanessa

5. Touch Of Aloha

touch-of-aloha

Website

Address: Suite L Level 1/57 Thomas Dr, Surfers Paradise

Contact: 0407 774 552

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Once a growing bump starts making standard massage tables feel like medieval furniture, a better setup really matters. Touch Of Aloha uses a custom pregnancy massage table plus extra-wide, double-padded beds for a much comfier experience.

I also like that practitioner Tania Hodder brings 24 years of massage experience to the table.

You can book 60, 90 or even 120 minutes, which is ideal when an hour suddenly feels far too short.

The overall setup feels more considered than a generic relaxation massage, especially if positioning is your biggest concern. It’s the kind of detail I’d notice straight away as a regular spa-goer.

The only catch is that the studio is closed on Mondays and Sundays. If your week is already packed with appointments, that can narrow your options a bit.

Pros

  • 24 years of massage experience
  • Dedicated pregnancy massage
  • Custom pregnancy massage table
  • Extra-wide, double-padded tables
  • 60-, 90- and 120-minute sessions

Cons

  • Closed Mondays and Sundays

Tania was amazing! Friendly, accommodating and great at what she does. Her massage table, which she helped design, is awesome for us pregnant gals! A special hatch allows for a soft jelly like surface to lay face and belly down on without feeling out of breath or at all uncomfortable. Wish I could visit again, but we were only passing through QLD. If you’re pregnant, book an appointment, you’ll be so glad you did!

I am now officially addicted

I cannot speak highly enough about Tania, her clinic and her beautiful, relaxing, nurturing form of massage. I’m 6 months pregnant and am sooo glad I found her and her studio. I am now officially addicted; this will be a regular occurrence for me from now on.
