5 Best Dog Daycares in the Gold Coast That Feel Like a Second Home

Safety: I looked at how each daycare keeps dogs safe while they play. I also checked if the staff is trained in dog behavior and pet first aid so they can handle different situations with care.

Activities: I chose places that mix active play with plenty of rest. Daycares that offer fun games, mental activities, and outdoor play earned extra points.

Staff Experience: I checked if the team has training or certifications in dog behavior and pet care. Skilled staff can better understand each dog's needs and keep them happy and safe.

Facility: I looked at how each daycare is set up. Clean, climate-controlled spaces with separate areas for different dog sizes help dogs stay comfortable and prevent smaller dogs from feeling overwhelmed.

Looking after your dog means finding the right care for every stage of their routine. From visits to dog grooming shops to dog boarding during trips away, every service helps keep your pet happy and healthy.

That’s why I looked into the best dog daycares on the Gold Coast to help you find safe, engaging places where your pup can play, socialize, and burn off energy.

Read on to find their perfect home away from home.

Fetch ‘n’ Fun Wellness and Daycare offers more than a place for dogs to play. They also provide wellness therapy with IICT-certified professionals experienced in canine wellbeing.

When I brought my energetic retriever here for a wellness session, the staff’s calm and caring approach gave me peace of mind. Every team member is trained in canine behavior and CPR, so my dog felt safe.

At daycare, dogs enjoy Queensland’s largest indoor playrooms, a huge outdoor splash zone, supervised activities, and free daily photo updates.

Still, the grooming salon is only open to dogs already enrolled in daycare. New grooming clients can’t book this service by itself, so you’ll need daycare first before booking.

Pros

  • Large indoor and outdoor play spaces
  • IICT-certified wellness therapists
  • Team trained in canine behavior and CPR
  • Supervised activities with daily photo updates

Cons

  • Grooming only for existing daycare clients

Peaches’ Happy Home Away From Home

My dog Peaches has the best time in day care and I know she is being cared for with utmost diligence. She always comes home happy. She gets excited when she knows she’s going and doesn’t want to leave when I come to collect her as she’s made so many friends. The staff are very knowledgeable and have helped me so much with great advice. I will continue to use and recommend the amazing team at Fetch and fun.

Confidence-Building Care for Ziggy

Such an incredible business. Our Frenchie Ziggy loves his time at fetch n fun. He’s become so confident and always leaves day care happy, excited and oh so tired. Amazing caring staff. I would highly recommend for any dog.

Gold Coast Doggy Daycare is a great place if you want your dog to stay active in any weather. Their fully air-conditioned indoor play area keeps dogs cool on hot days and comfortable when it rains.

Dogs get to spend the day with companions that match their personality here since they’re grouped by their energy levels and play styles. With this setup, playtime is safer and more fun.

There are also snuffle mats, agility challenges, and daily obedience activities that keep them active and engaged.

Another plus is that you can choose casual passes or weekly memberships, so it’s easy to find a schedule that fits your routine.

Just be aware that new customers must get staff approval before booking. You’ll also need to upload a current Canine Cough 5 (C5) vaccination record, so your first visit may take longer.

Cons

  • Pre-approval required before first booking

Spacious, Clean and Welcoming Daycare

I’ve previously picked up clients from GC Doggy Daycare and it’s such a great space. The area is open, spacious, and kept very clean for all the dogs. The staff are always welcoming and lovely to deal with. Highly recommend this daycare and love following along the Instagram daily stories!

Tailored Play Areas and Daily Updates

Winston always has the best time with the friendly team at Gold Coast doggy daycare. They offer different play areas to suit each pup! And I love the Instagram Story updates throughout the day to see what activities they’re up to. Highly recommend! 🐶

3. Buddies Doggy Daycare

Website: https://www.buddiesdoggydaycare.com.au/

Address: 2b/11-13 Olympic Circuit

Contact: 0457 179 247

Schedule: Mon to Fri 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Buddies Doggy Daycare helps new dogs feel comfortable by starting every first visit with a dedicated three-hour trial. This gives shy or nervous dogs time to adjust before joining regular daycare sessions.

After talking with a neighbor whose rescue dog started here, I learned how patient and caring the staff was during that first visit. Their calm approach helps dogs settle in with confidence.

Once dogs feel at home, they spend the day in a warm, home-like space where different sizes play together under close supervision. The daily routine mixes active play with quiet rest, helping dogs stay happy and relaxed.

One thing to know is that the daycare follows strict group-care rules to keep everyone safe. Dogs that become aggressive or protective around toys or water bowls may not be the best fit.

Pros

  • Three-hour trial for new dogs
  • Home-like care environment
  • Fully supervised mixed-size play
  • Balanced play and rest schedule

Cons

  • Strict group-care suitability rules

Above-and-Beyond Care for First-Time Pups

Today was our girls Kumu & Alohi’s first day at Buddies Doggy Daycare, and they had the best time. The team went above and beyond — even taking the time to trim Kumu’s nails at a pace she was comfortable with, which we truly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the utmost, elite care of our furbébés. We’ll absolutely be back — we’ve found our pack. We’ll be recommending you to everyone we know. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Last-Minute Daycare That Saved the Day

I can’t thank Morgan enough for taking care of my 4month old puppy on such a short notice! I messaged the night before, desperate to find daycare for Teddy then Morgan responded early next morning telling we can drop him off. I was so relieved as Teddy was still a puppy I thought no one would take him. That was Teddy’s first time at daycare and he absolutely loved it! (He was already asleep at 6pm!) Will definitely think of Buddies Doggy Daycare when we come back to Gold Coast. Highly recommend!!!

Suzi Pooch Doggy Daycare & Grooming gives dogs plenty of room to play in a purpose-built daycare with indoor and outdoor free-range areas. Every day includes fun activities like exploring the Secret Garden and enjoying water play zones.

Their team is trained in behavioral grooming, helping nervous dogs feel calmer and build trust during each visit. I liked seeing how gently they worked because it made anxious dogs look much more relaxed.

While dogs spend the day there, they can also join supervised monthly Adventure Days to local beaches and hillsides. There are also sensory enrichment activities and a separate quiet sanctuary that give dogs a chance to play or rest whenever they need it.

One thing to plan for is the booking process. You’ll need to reserve your dog’s spot by phone or through their online booking system before attending.

Pros

  • Indoor and outdoor free-range play areas
  • Specialized behavioral grooming
  • Supervised monthly Adventure Days
  • Sensory enrichment and quiet rest area

Cons

  • Advance booking required

Enrichment, Updates and Genuine Care

Our frenchie Millie absolutely loves this daycare! The staff are so friendly and my fave part of the day is getting text photo updates and then looking through the mass upload at the end of the day on facebook/instagram. The staff are so hands on and always have new enrichment activities for the dogs. They are super affordable with the peace of mind she is getting the best care away from home. As soon as we get in the car to head home, Millie is snoring her head off 😴

Personalised Care That Dogs Love

So grateful to have found Suzi Pooch. The team show genuine care for each and every individual pooch, are always happy to answer questions and send the most joyous updates. Daisy pretty much leaps out of the car when we pull up at daycare – thank you to the team for loving and caring for her!

Schedule: Mon to Fri 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Bernie’s Backyard Doggy Daycare welcomes dogs of every breed and size, making it easy to find the right fit for your pup. The team groups dogs by play style and watches their body language to help everyone stay safe.

If a dog needs a quieter space or a smaller play group, the staff step in right away to help them feel relaxed. I like how they adjust each dog’s day instead of treating every dog the same.

Dogs enjoy puzzle games and simple training activities that change often, so every visit stays fun and interesting. You can also shop at Bernie’s Pet Barn next door while dropping off or picking up your dog.

Still, every visit must be booked ahead. New dogs also need a required two-hour assessment before joining daycare.

Pros

  • Convenient location behind Bernie’s Pet Barn
  • Tailored play based on size and temperament
  • Staff monitor body language and adjust play areas
  • Rotating mental enrichment and basic training

Cons

  • Advance booking required
  • Mandatory two-hour assessment for new dogs

Building Better Manners Through Daycare

My Puppers and I LOVE Bernie’s, it’s so friendly and fun coming there it’s like an extended family and everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful no matter what weird and wonderful questions you have. Vader also goes to day care twice a week and not only comes back exhausted but he comes back with more manners and tricks, it has helped him grow from puppy to doggo and be a very good and sweet boy. The photo updates and communication is brilliant and help you feel include in your fur babies day out.

Anxiety-Aware Care with Regular Updates

Always greeted with a smile! The team really care about my dogs needs like anxiety, and provided feedback on how to manage her behaviour in different environments. They also send videos and photos throughout the day which is amazing!
