The 5 Best Sauna Facilities on the Gold Coast for People Who Love a Good Sweat

Heat Modality Options: We checked out which sauna types each place offers since having both traditional dry and infrared saunas means you get more ways to recover.

Session Flexibility: We looked at how long you can actually book a sauna for, and whether you get options like a quick 30-minute sweat or a full 90-minute chill, so it’s easier to fit into your schedule.

Facility Amenities: We paid attention to what other recovery tools there are, like cold plunges or compression therapy. It’s just better when you can combine a hot sauna with extra ways to feel your best.

Pricing and Memberships: We compared casual drop-in prices with membership perks, looking for spots that give you good value without locking you into a long contract.

Privacy and Comfort: We made sure to see if the spaces feel peaceful and if you can get private bookings. After a busy day, relaxing in a calm and private sauna makes a big difference.

Living on the Gold Coast means we get plenty of sunshine, but sometimes you just need a dedicated sweat session to truly unwind. Maybe you’re a fitness fanatic looking to soothe sore muscles, or a busy professional craving some quiet time.

Either way, finding the best sauna on the Gold Coast can completely upgrade your recovery routine. And if you want to boost your health even more, chatting with a nutritionist is an awesome option.

Just keep in mind that the infrared sauna is quite small, fitting only two or three people. Access might be tricky if other guests occupy it for a long stretch.

Pros

  • Two distinct sauna types
  • Access to cold plunges
  • Flexible session durations
  • No membership required

Cons

  • Small infrared sauna capacity

Contact: +61455194235

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Privacy is a massive draw at City Cave Robina, as they offer dedicated 45-minute private infrared sauna sessions. This setup uses radiant heat, and you can even upgrade your booking to include targeted red light therapy.

You can mix your sauna time with float therapy and massage for a full wellness package. If you want company, they also offer a couples session for a shared experience.

Buying a casual session is straightforward, too, but they also have value packs and a CaveClub membership if you want cheaper rates. On top of that, the introductory offer of three sessions for $99 is a great way to test the waters.

However, their cancellation and rescheduling policies are very strict, so you might struggle to rebook an appointment at the last minute. The facility also gets booked out fast, leaving limited spots.

Pros

  • Completely private sessions
  • Red light therapy available
  • Couples sessions offered
  • Excellent introductory pricing

Cons

  • Strict cancellation policies
  • High demand; limited availability

I feel so relaxed and content

I have had two infrared saunas at Robina City Cave and I have say they are my new favourite self-care treat.  I have had a few different ‘self-care’ treatments elsewhere over the years, however I have to say this is my favourite by far.   Never before have I had such a relaxing experience.  When I finish my sauna, I feel like I have just had a 2 hour massage.  I feel so relaxed and content.  I highly recommend City Cave Robina to everyone who wants to find a new way to relax and unwind

I have truly never had such a relaxing experience

Had my first infrared sauna and float this morning and I have truly never had such a relaxing experience.  City Cave Robina was a beautiful venue, exceptionally clean, relaxing, and Andrew was a great host! I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.

3. Plunge House

Address: 5 Rosemont Avenue, Broadbeach Waters

Contact: 0490695953

Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM | Saturday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Plunge House creates a strong community vibe while offering both a hot 85°C traditional sauna and a milder 50°C infrared option. The main highlight is their contrast therapy setup, featuring three different mineral-water plunge pools.

A friend of mine visits every weekend and always raves about how good the coldest plunge feels after a heavy workout.

You can easily drop in for a casual session, with the traditional sauna costing a very affordable $20. If you want regular access, their Gold membership unlocks the infrared sauna, light therapy, and even compression therapy.

But because they require separate bookings for the saunas and the pools, you have to carefully coordinate your schedule.

The overall atmosphere also feels much more like a structured recovery center than a traditional relaxing spa.

Pros

  • Highly affordable traditional sauna
  • Three distinct plunge pools
  • Infrared light therapy included
  • Welcoming community atmosphere

Cons

  • Separate bookings for sauna and pools
  • Structured rather than relaxing

The traditional sauna was the best I’ve been in

I visited Plunge House on the Gold Coast for the first time and was really impressed.

The traditional sauna was the best I’ve been in – so clean, new, and relaxing. I also tried the hot and cold contrast plunge pools, which left me feeling amazing afterwards.

The space itself is beautifully renovated, very clean, and has a calm vibe that makes it easy to switch off. Staff were welcoming and made the whole experience even better.

Such a great recovery centre to have nearby, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Makes you feel welcome and comfortable

These guys stand apart from the rest as there are a variety of different cold baths as well as the hot bath. They also have all the extras like infra red sauna and massage. The number limits mean it’s never over crowded and the family feel makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Parking is easy and a membership is well priced.

4. P3 Recovery Labrador

Address: 25/211 Brisbane Road

Contact: +61 489 274 713

Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM | Saturday-Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

P3 Recovery Labrador gives you the choice between a classic dry sauna and a full-spectrum infrared sauna, all in one spot. The infrared rooms here are totally private and still big enough to fit up to three people, so you can bring friends if you want.

A client we spoke to loved how they could mix a sauna session with other recovery options, like hyperbaric oxygen therapy or IV drips. This makes the center feel like a complete recovery hub.

Booking a quick 30-minute session is super easy, too, if you’ve got a packed schedule. Plus, their Essential membership has unlimited sauna access and doesn’t require a long-term contract, just two visits a month to keep it active.

One thing to note: if you want to use the magnesium pools, you’ll need to go upstairs, which some visitors found a hassle since the saunas are on the accessible lower level.

Pros

  • Unlimited membership options
  • Fits three per private room
  • No long-term lock-in contracts
  • Massive variety of therapies

Cons

  • Hassle split-level floorplan

The saunas are great and options from private to public available

Great place to relax unwind and recover after a tough gym session, or other exhausting excersice. The saunas are great and options from private to public available, offering a variety of recovery pools from ice-cold to very hot.  They also have a dedicated compression room available.  As for amenities, you’ll find showers, changing rooms, and toilets, all well-maintained. The staff are consistently very friendly and welcoming, creating a truly pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this place if you need a relaxing space to unwind after a stressful day at the office, the gym, or simply for some personal enjoyment.

The saunas are by far the best!

I regularly use P3 Labrador and absolutely love it. I have a weekly membership which is incredible value! I use the infrared saunas a few times a week,  wet therapy and the  occasional hyperbaric chamber. The saunas are by far the best! I use to pay top dollar for similar! This place is consistently relaxing and effective. The whole place is exceptionally clean, and the staff are always friendly, professional, and welcoming. Such a great wellness space for a budget price! I’m addicted, not to mention the improved training and sleep benefits 🥰⭐️

5. Rigs Recovery Bundall

Website: https://www.rigsrecovery.com.au/

Address: 5/117 Ashmore Rd, Bundall

Contact: (07) 5629 7530

Rigs Recovery Bundall offers something different with their rock and steam sauna, plus a standard infrared sauna using Sunlighten technology for a full range of infrared benefits.

You can pair these saunas with their contrast water therapy, which connects hot and cold pools for a really effective recovery routine. Choosing between 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions also gives you plenty of flexibility to fit your day.

On top of that, if you grab an Essential membership, you get unlimited access to the sauna and contrast therapy setup, along with big discounts on other treatments. We also like that there’s a second location in Currumbin for extra convenience.

Sadly, some clients have mentioned that unexpected maintenance issues pop up sometimes, like the infrared sauna’s audio system not working or the floor near the pools getting really slippery.

Pros

  • Rock and steam option
  • Three session length choices
  • Unlimited contrast therapy
  • Two accessible coastal locations

Cons

  • Occasional audio equipment failures
  • Slippery recovery area floors

Just a casual visit and I’m very happy with Rigs. Very friendly staff. Lots of spots for personal belongings. Very clean and tidy. The hot and cold magnesium pools were awesome as was the sauna. Being able to go from 1 to other with their proximity is great.
