Looking for the best daycare in Gold Coast for my nephew feels a bit like finding a pet sitter I’d actually trust. I want somewhere safe, warm, clean, and unlikely to have me checking my phone every five minutes.
A good daycare should keep little ones busy, happy, and properly looked after while the grown-ups get on with their day. Bonus points if the educators are lovely and the place doesn’t feel like organised chaos.

Little Scholars Ashmore caught my eye because it doesn’t treat outdoor time like a quick lap around the playground.
Between the veggie gardens, sensory spaces and bush kinder activities, there’s plenty here to keep curious little minds busy. I also like that the program goes beyond the usual crafts-and-storytime routine.
Cooking and science, technology, engineering and mathematics activities add some variety, while the Grandfriends program brings a lovely intergenerational element into the mix.
Meals are another practical win, with an onsite chef preparing food during the day. For families juggling work, drop-offs and everything else, having that sorted is one less thing to think about.
The catch is the two-day minimum enrolment. If you only need occasional or one-day care, that setup may not be flexible enough.

Highly recommended
Our daughter has attended Little Scholars Ashmore since she was 1 year old in the nursery, and has been through the next 2 rooms up. She has always been shown the most loving care by her educators. She even started calling a few of her Educators “Mummy”! My heart feels assured that whilst she is at daycare, she is being cared for and nurtured. Highly recommended.

Would certainly recommend
Our 3yo daughter has been at Montessori Mudgeeraba for over a year now, and we’ve been amazed at how much she’s learnt. She’s developed quite a few ‘best friends’ over that time and loves the weekly Chinese class (comes home singing catchy Chinese songs), and comes home saying she loves daycare. We’ve gotten to know the staff over this time, and they are all lovely. Would certainly recommend!

Grateful
Moving from New Zealand was a big enough challenge in its own right, so to find Kool Kids just around the corner and that they had space was great. The Helensvale centre welcomed us with open arms and has been amazing with our son and his transition into a new environment. He loves going to daycare every day and always talks about his day and the teachers. We cannot thank the team enough for how easy and stress-free you have made this part of our move. Dedicated and lovely team
Kool Kids Helensvale has been a great daycare for little miss (almost) 5. She has attended here since she was 3, and has enjoyed a consistent, dedicated team of teachers throughout her time here. We saw the staff as friendly and supportive, not only to our daughter, but also when it comes to the pesky admin side of life. We’ve had to move centres as we are moving from the area for work, which is a shame – we will all miss the dedicated and lovely team at Kool Kids Helensvale <3

Harmony Early Education Burleigh Heads appealed to me because it gives emotional development as much attention as early learning.

Can not recommend this day care enough 🙂
We were with Harmony in Brisbane, and when we moved to the coast we knew we had to find another Harmony centre and Harmony in Burleigh Heads exceeded our expectations! The facility is state of the art, the educators are all so wonderful, and the fresh food the kids are served daily is amazing! My daughter absolutely loves going to daycare, and it’s all due to the amazing people that make this place so incredible. Can not recommend this daycare enough 🙂

We’ve had our daughter in Harmony Burleigh Heads since they opened. Could not ask for a better daycare. All the management and educators are so incredible and like family. The facilities are so beautiful and clean. Highly recommend!

Little Saints caught my eye because it feels more like a leafy hideaway than a standard daycare centre. The play-based program leans into nature, creativity, and giving kids plenty of room to explore at their own pace.
The outdoor setup is a big draw, with natural playgrounds, water play, and Forest School activities. I also like that practical essentials such as nappies, sunscreen, hats, linen, and even birthday cake are included.
Fresh meals prepared onsite are another handy bonus for busy families.
The Tallebudgera setting also gives the centre a calmer, more spacious feel than you’d get in busier parts of the Coast.
The main catch is location. Families living or working further north may find the Tallebudgera commute less convenient.

Highly recommend
All three of my children have attended/still attend Little Saints. From the day we started there, we have received such kind and supportive care. The environment is positive and caring, and the staff/educators provide safe and friendly connections with my children. It is a wonderful centre; I would highly recommend it- plus the chef provides incredible, nutritious and tasty food 😊

Changing childcare centres to Little Saints was the best decision I made for my little one. I cannot recommend this centre enough. From their ethos and philosophy towards caring for and teaching little ones, to the amazing and genuine teaching and management staff, the centre is beautifully designed and well thought out – the outdoor space is what dreams are made of, the tinker shed, and the nature play. This should be the gold standard for childcare. Thank you, Little Saints team, for giving me the confidence to leave my little one with you.
