5 Best Piercing Studios on the Gold Coast to Check Out Before You Commit

  • Hygiene & sterilisation: Clean gear is non-negotiable. We favoured studios using single-use needles and proper sterilisation practices.
  • Professional expertise: A steady hand matters. We looked at piercer experience, placement skills, and aftercare knowledge.
  • Jewellery variety: Nobody wants boring bling. We checked for quality options like implant-grade titanium, surgical steel, and solid gold.
  • Customer experience: Getting pierced shouldn’t feel intimidating. We considered cleanliness, comfort, consultations, and how welcoming the team feels.
  • Reviews & reputation: Locals usually tell it straight. We checked recent feedback for consistent praise around safety, service, and results.

I’ve put in enough gym hours with my personal trainer to finally feel good about showing off my midsection. Now I’m hunting for the best piercing studio in Gold Coast to give it a little extra shine!

A navel piercing might be small, but I’m not letting just anyone near it with a needle. I want a spotless studio, steady hands, and jewellery that won’t turn healing into a drama.

So I’ve narrowed down the Gold Coast piercing studios that look worth trusting with the job. Whether you’re after a quick walk-in or something more polished, these picks should make choosing much easier.

How much does a piercing cost in Gold Coast?

Piercing prices on the Gold Coast usually start at around $35 to $50 for a single earlobe piercing. Double lobe piercings commonly cost about $80 to $90.

Cartilage and facial piercings generally range from $45 to $60. Surface and other body piercings are usually around $60 to $80.

Jewellery can bump up the final price. Titanium upgrades may add about $10, while 14-karat gold pieces can cost $150 or more.

1. Flesh Impressions

flesh-impressions

Website

Address: Suite 1, Broadbeach Arcade 2707

Contact: 0467 482 106

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10 AM-6 PM | Saturday, 9.30 AM-5.30 PM | Sunday, 10 AM-4 PM

Flesh Impressions caught my eye because they don’t treat piercing placement like a one-size-fits-all job. Their team takes your anatomy into account, which is exactly what I’d want before committing to something sitting front and centre.

They also stock certified implant-grade jewellery, with options designed for different placements and styles. That gives you a bit more room to choose something that suits your look instead of settling for whatever happens to be in the cabinet.

I also like that their aftercare advice is detailed and specific to the piercing you’ve had done. It makes the healing stage feel a lot less like guesswork.

The only downside is that all that personalised attention may feel a little more involved if you just want a super-quick walk-in piercing. If you prefer a more considered approach, though, that’s hardly a deal-breaker.

Pros

  • Anatomy-conscious approach to piercing placement
  • Certified implant-grade jewellery options
  • Detailed aftercare guidance for different piercings
  • Good choice for clients who want a more tailored experience

Cons

  • The more consultative process may feel slower if you just want something quick

No better place on the GC

Tia is my fave person on the Goldy for piercing! All the girls are honestly lovely and very skilled here though. They never rush you, always help you pick the best jewellery (the selection here is second to none), and just the whole experience is always so pleasant. I send so many of my fellow actor friends here when we’re on jobs and need to get piercings removed, put back in or new ones to celebrate finishing up – they always come back with rave reviews. No better place on the GC.

2. Unicorn Piercing

Website

Address: Australia Fair, 42 Marine Pde

Contact: 07 5663 4641

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10 AM – 4 PM

Unicorn Piercing stood out to me for using a hand-pressured piercing system instead of the usual spring-loaded gun. It’s quieter, which could make the whole experience feel a little less daunting for nervous first-timers.

I also like that their earring backs leave room for swelling and cleaning during healing. For anyone aged over five, there’s also the option of having an earlobe piercing done with a traditional needle!

The studio carries a mix of body jewellery too, so you’re not stuck with one basic look. Being inside Australia Fair also makes it an easy stop if you’re already around Southport.

The main drawback is that the shopping-centre setting won’t feel especially private or boutique if that matters to you. If you prefer a calm, tucked-away studio atmosphere, this one may feel a little too public.

Pros

  • Quieter hand-pressured system for standard ear piercings
  • Needle piercing option available for clients over five
  • Backings designed to leave room for swelling and cleaning
  • Convenient Australia Fair location
  • Good range of body jewellery

Cons

  • Shopping-centre setting may feel less private

Absolutely recommend

Such lovely staff! Lily assisted me in choosing the right jewellery for me, and guided me through the entire process with kindness and diligence. I was very nervous since this was my first piercing, but knowing I was in such good hands was incredibly reassuring. What’s more, her careful eye paid off; I love what I got! Absolutely recommend, thank you, Lily!!

3. COVETEAR Gold Coast

Website

Address: 5/2573 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach

Contact: 1300 074 207

Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 10 AM – 4 PM | Saturday by appointment

COVETEAR Gold Coast feels made for anyone who wants their ear stack to look considered rather than randomly collected. Their anatomy-conscious styling helps map out placements that suit the shape of your ear and work together visually.

The jewellery is another big draw, especially if plain starter studs aren’t really your thing. You’ll find 14-karat gold and lab-grown diamond pieces that give fresh piercings a much more polished finish.

I also like that they offer complimentary follow-up appointments throughout the healing process. That extra support is handy when cartilage piercings decide to be a little dramatic.

The main downside is that the luxe jewellery focus can make it easy to spend more than you planned. If you’re after the cheapest possible piercing, this probably won’t be your first stop.

Pros

  • Anatomy-conscious ear styling and placement
  • 14-karat gold and lab-grown diamond jewellery options
  • Complimentary follow-up appointments during healing
  • Great for building a coordinated, polished ear stack

Cons

  • Premium jewellery can push the total cost up quickly
  • Less suited to anyone chasing a budget piercing

Customer Review

The price is so beyond worth it! 🙂

So clean, professional, and gorgeous!! The jewellery is such high quality, and they go above and beyond and made my birthday piercing experience amazing. Will definitely be back. I wish I came here for all my piercings because they seriously know what they are doing. The price is so beyond worth it! 🙂

4. Celebrity Ink – Surfers Paradise

Website

Address: The Paradise Centre Shopping Arcade at 066/2 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise

Contact: 0483 912 259

Hours: Daily, 9 AM – 6 PM

Celebrity Ink Surfers Paradise is a handy pick if you want plenty of piercing options without trekking far from the action. They handle everything from classic lobes to dermals and skin divers, so there’s room to go subtle or properly commit.

I also like that their piercers have formal infection-control training and use professional piercing needles rather than guns. That gives me a bit more confidence when someone is about to put a hole somewhere permanent.

The Paradise Centre location is another plus if you’re already around Cavill Avenue. You can squeeze in a piercing between beach time, shopping, and whatever else Surfers throws at you!

The downside is that getting into central Surfers Paradise can be a hassle when it’s busy. Parking nearby can also test your patience, especially on weekends.

Pros

  • Wide range of piercings, from lobes to dermals
  • Piercers have formal infection-control training
  • Uses professional piercing needles rather than guns
  • Convenient Paradise Centre location

Cons

  • Central Surfers Paradise can get hectic during peak tourist seasons
  • Nearby parking may be a hassle during busy periods

10/10 would recommend

Excellent experience. It was my first piercing, so I was very nervous – lucky for me I was met with a professional and calm environment. The staff were amazing, making me laugh the entire time.It was comforting that she could answer every one of my questions (and trust me, I asked a lot).I’ve only ever wanted one piercing, but I’m considering getting another one just so I can support these guys again.10/10 would recommend.

5. Crossfire Tattoos & Piercing

Website

Address: Shop 1, 3308 Surfers Paradise Blvd

Contact: 07 5570 3344

Hours: Monday, 5 PM – late | Tuesday-Saturday, 10 AM – late | Sunday, noon – 7 PM

Crossfire Tattoos & Piercing is a handy one to know if you’re feeling spontaneous and don’t fancy planning a piercing days ahead. Walk-ins are welcome, which suits the anything-goes energy of Surfers Paradise pretty well.

The studio also sits opposite Cypress Avenue tram station, so getting there by public transport is nice and simple.

I like that it combines tattooing and piercing under one roof, especially if you’re already in the mood for a bit of body art.

Their central location makes it easy to slot into a day around the beach or Cavill Avenue. It’s the kind of place that works well when the piercing idea hits you out of nowhere.

The downside is that a tattoo-and-piercing setup can feel busier than a dedicated piercing boutique. If you want a quieter, more specialised atmosphere, you may prefer somewhere more intimate.

Pros

  • Walk-ins are welcome for spontaneous piercings
  • Conveniently located opposite Cypress Avenue tram station
  • Tattooing and piercing available under one roof
  • Handy central Surfers Paradise location

Cons

  • Tattoo-and-piercing setup may feel busier than a dedicated piercing studio

Highly recommend

Had a tattoo and piercing done at this place a couple of days ago. The two ladies I dealt with, Jess the tattooist and the piercer whose name I think was Ella (maybe), were absolutely wonderful. Such beautiful young ladies made me feel comfortable and relaxed the whole way through, and I was so happy with the end result would highly recommend 😁😁😁
