5 Best Photography Studios in Gold Coast to Capture Your Special Moments
I’m always on the lookout for photographers who can make special moments look even better than they felt. That usually starts with finding the best photography studios in Gold Coast for the job.
A great studio isn’t just four walls and a backdrop. I want flattering light, reliable gear, and a space that doesn’t make everyone feel stiff as a board.
So, I’ve narrowed down the local studios that are genuinely worth a closer look. Whether it’s portraits, products, or a milestone shoot, these spots can help get the shot right.
How much does it cost to visit a photography studio in Gold Coast?
Gold Coast photography studio hire usually starts at around $120 for a short session. More premium full-day setups can cost $1,300 or more.
Hourly or short-session hire generally runs from $120 to $250+. A half-day booking of roughly four hours can cost $295 to $465+.
For a full-day shoot, expect to pay around $800 to $1,300+. Rates can vary depending on the studio size, included equipment, and facilities.
1. Gold Coast Studio

Address: 17A Ern Harley Drive, Burleigh Heads
Contact: 0449 250 450
Hours: Daily, 8.30 AM–5 PM
Those studios that give you room to experiment without feeling like you’re working in someone’s spare room are always a hit with me. Gold Coast Studio ticks that box with private bookings, two purpose-built spaces, and a seriously roomy cyclorama.
The Burleigh Heads setup is geared towards commercial, brand, and product shoots, with professional lighting and production gear on hand.
There’s also in-house photo and video support, which is handy when you’d rather keep everything under one roof.
I also like that the space can suit anything from fashion and corporate work to more creative campaign shoots. It feels flexible enough for polished productions without losing that relaxed Gold Coast vibe.
The catch is that some specialist gear may come with extra costs or booking conditions. And if you only need a simple portrait session, the full production setup could be more than you really need.

Absolute legends
After multiple shoots at Gold Coast Studio, I can confidently say this place is one of the best studios on the Coast. The space is cutting-edge, incredibly versatile, and always presented to a high standard.
Whether you’re shooting photography, video, campaigns, or content, the studio has everything you need. The cyclorama is immaculate, the facilities are excellent, and the team behind the studio are always professional, accommodating, and easy to work with. Absolute legends!

Couldn’t recommend them highly enough
Gold Coast Studio stood out to us from the start and for good reason. We shot our wellness and lifestyle brand’s entire range there, and Matty and the team were beyond incredible. Super accommodating, so knowledgeable in their craft, and it was awesome having them take the creative direction; they nailed every detail and made sure everything was perfect (like, perfect perfect). The assets we’ve come away with are absolutely invaluable for our brand, Freeflo Club. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

2. 11Past11Studio

Address: U10 5-7 Villiers Dr Currumbin Waters
Contact: 0452077220
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM–5.30 PM | Saturday-Sunday, 8 AM–5 PM
I appreciate studios that make content creation feel less like hard work and more like play. 11Past11Studio does that nicely with its cyc wall, movable backdrops, and professional lighting setup.
It’s especially handy for small businesses, brands, and creators who need polished content without piecing together a production team themselves.
Their in-house photographers and videographers can also help with e-commerce shoots, product photos, branding, and headshots.
I like that the space feels versatile rather than locked into one look. You can switch things up depending on whether you’re shooting something clean and commercial or a little more personality-driven.
The main catch is size, as bigger crews may find the studio a bit snug.
Currumbin Waters can also be a fair trek if you’re coming from the northern Gold Coast.

Good experience
Originally, I booked with 11past11 studio for a personal/professional photoshoot. I didn’t have much experience in front of a camera, especially in a studio, but Masa helped coach me, and we ended up with some solid photos. I just booked my second session last week, and the photos were unreal. Masa is really dialled in his approach to photography and knows how to get the most out of every shot.

Helpful and friendly
We always book our photoshoots at this studio. Masa is so helpful and friendly; he’s always at the shoot to help with whatever you need in terms of lighting and set-up.
The studio also has a nice area for the models to relax before and after the shoot.

3. Creative Focus Studios

Address: 4/14 Energy Crescent, Molendinar
Contact: 0466 033 336
Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 9 AM–5 PM | Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
I’m a sucker for studios that can handle a polished brand shoot one day and a relaxed portrait session the next. Creative Focus Studios does that well, with professional lighting, natural-light options, and a boutique setup in Molendinar.
Their strength is versatility, especially if you want imagery that feels more considered than cookie-cutter. They cover commercial work, branding, products, headshots, family portraits, and other creative shoots.
I also like that the studio is purpose-built and air-conditioned, which makes longer sessions a bit less painful (and sweaty!). The central location just off Smith Street is handy too.
The catch is that bookings require full payment upfront and payments are non-refundable.
There are also only six dedicated parking spaces out front, so bigger groups may need to plan ahead.

Exceptionally fitted studio
Wes was amazing to work with. He made the team relaxed and comfortable to bring out the best in their images. The studio is exceptionally fitted out, comfortable and air-conditioned with everything you need to get ready for the shoot and additional props on hand. Highly recommended if you need professional corporate shots.

Great experience
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had such a great experience at Creative Focus Studio! Wes was incredibly friendly and showed so much patience with our puppy throughout the shoot. The studio itself was spotless and beautifully set up, making it a really comfortable environment. The photos turned out absolutely fantastic — we couldn’t be happier with the results! Highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing photos and a great experience.

4. Hawker Studios

Address: Warehouse 6 at 2-6 Hawker Street, Currumbin Waters
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Daily, 7 AM–5 PM
I find myself drawn to studios that can make natural light do most of the heavy lifting. Hawker Studios nails that breezy Gold Coast look with skylights, high ceilings, and plenty of light-filled shooting areas.
The styling options are a big part of the appeal too. You get movable textured backdrop walls, curated furniture, plinths, mirrors, and props included with your booking.
It’s a great fit for fashion, products, branding, and creative campaigns where you want the set to feel polished without looking overworked. Having two Currumbin Waters locations also gives you a bit more choice.
The catch is that cameras and studio lighting aren’t supplied, so you’ll need to bring your own gear.
Cancellation and rescheduling fees can also apply, so it pays to lock in your plans first.

Definitely check them out
I recently shot at Hawker Studios (27) and had a great experience.
The space has an awesome vibe, heaps of natural light and a really great amount of chairs/backdrops to work with. If you’re on the Gold Coast and need a studio space, definitely check them out.

My go-to studio
Dare I say it.. the best photo studio on the GC!!
My go-to studio to create content as the lighting is always perfect, no matter what time of the day. The studio is thoughtfully curated with a fantastic assortment of props and furniture, giving you so much creative flexibility.
Lately, I have been using their upstairs space a lot as it feels more like a living space rather than a photo studio -perfect for creating authentic content! Can’t wait to be back x

5. Flavr Studios

Address: 13 Price Street, Southport
Contact: +61 414 072 445
Hours: Monday-Sunday, 6 AM–10 PM
I’m always a fan of studios that give you plenty of looks without making you lug half your house along. Flavr Studios makes that easy with 10+ backdrops, a dedicated cyclorama room, and plenty of props already on hand.
The natural-light setup is another big plus, especially if you want clean, flattering shots without overcomplicating things. I also like that their standard hire rates are clearly laid out, with Afterpay available if you’d rather split the cost.
It’s a versatile option for portraits, branding, products, or content shoots where you want a bit of variety.
The Southport location also makes it handy for creatives working around central Gold Coast.
The catch is that cancellations aren’t refundable, so changing plans can sting. Rescheduling also needs at least 20 hours’ notice.

Can’t wait to be back
The perfect studio for content creation! It’s such a beautiful space and so thoughtfully curated. We had everything we needed and were able to shoot 3 different scenes. The team were so helpful in the lead-up as well, accommodating requests without hesitation. Easy self-check-in process too. Can’t wait to be back!
