Masu Izakaya offers a relaxed dining experience with traditional Japanese flavours and a welcoming atmosphere. I like that the kitchen uses local and imported Japanese ingredients to create dishes that feel fresh and authentic.

You can also enjoy Japanese drinks like sake, whisky, and craft beer that pair well with the food.
The only catch is that omakase isn’t the restaurant’s main focus. Masu Izakaya is mainly an izakaya, so the tasting menu is just one part of the experience.

Incredible Omakase and Warm Service
We had the most incredible dining experience at Masu Izakaya. From the moment we walked in, the lovely lady Ilene who looked after us was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful she made us feel comfortable straight away and guided us beautifully through the menu. We chose the Omakase experience and WOW… every dish was thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality and freshness in every bite. And the ponzu oysters? Next level. So fresh, perfectly prepared, and honestly some of the best we’ve had.

Ten-Course Omakase with Balanced Flavours
Amazing flavours and chef choices for our 10 course omakase. We were given a good mix of seafood and meat. The dishes were well prepared with the right doneness for the meats, fresh seafood and amazing use of finger limes, ponzu and citruses in sauces and sorbets. I particularly liked the tuna with fried rice cubes, miso nasu and pork belly. The service from everyone was good.

For celebrations or small gatherings, the private dining room gives guests a more comfortable setting to enjoy their meal.
A small thing to remember is that the restaurant can’t guarantee completely allergen-free dishes. Special dietary requests also need at least two days’ notice before your visit.

Exceptional Yakitori Omakase Birthday Dinner
Did not know of this restaurant but we had a lovely night for my birthday. The complaining reviews on food quantity have not done their homework – this is the style of yakitori omakase (I leave it up to you) so that you are in the hands of the chef. The ambience of the restaurant is so beautiful. The service is exceptional (thank you Momo). The food is amazing. Could not fault. Don’t come here if you like inferior quantity over superior quality but book immediately if you want the best.

Premium Omakase with Bilingual Service
Incredible atmosphere and food here – we got the premium omakase and every single dish exceeded beyond our expectations. We took my father in law for his birthday and he is Japanese and he absolutely loved it. We were served by Rina who was so lovely, helpful and accommodated both Japanese and English for us. Thank you guys!!!

Memorable Omakase with Sake and Cocktails
A very popular place for sure. It is very hard to book in a good time slot. Our dinner started at 4.30pm – that’s the only one left 🙂 We had very good sake there. The tempura was great! And suprisingly, the grill steak on the omakase menu was just perfectly done. While I was taking a seat at the bar, it was a pleasure to watch how the cocktails were made. A great experience!

You can also add a sake pairing that matches the flavours and makes the meal more special.
The restaurant’s calm setting is appreciated, making it a nice choice for those looking for a more personal dining experience.
Keep in mind that groups of six or more must choose the set menu. This means larger groups won’t be able to order individual dishes during their visit.

Authentic Omakase with Attentive Service
Absolutely beautiful dining experience. Delicious food and amazing, attentive service. Offers an authentic Japanese omakase experience which was delicious but offers different flavours and textures to western foods so be sure to enter with an open mind.

Exquisite Pescatarian Omakase
Cute authentic Japanese restaurant with beautiful food! We had the omakase and all the dishes were exquisite! We swapped out the oysters and got another raw dish instead. My favourite was the chawanmushi! It was so delicious with the pops of corn and roe. The gotofu was such an interesting dish, I’ve never had anything like it and I enjoyed it a lot. The textures of the chewy tofu and crunchy granola was excellent. The omakase was pescatarian. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

Small Plates, Satisfying Omakase
Amazing. Ordered the omakase set menu and it was delicious. At first the portions seem small but make no mistake, there are numerous servings and we were full by the end of it. Everything was amazing, from the atmosphere to the food to the service.
